What Best Treatment for Acne?

Acne is a source of agony for many whether it is mild or severe. There are numerous methods available for the treatment of acne. You should find the best acne treatment with the consultation of your dermatologist.  I'll mention a few of them below:

  • Ploy Go LED Light

It is a treatment that consists of blue and red light. The blue light helps you kill the bacteria which causes acne. The red light is developed by NASA which helps your cells to heal and regenerate faster than the usual speed. When we put these two light treatments together then it becomes the best acne treatment.

  • Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid is one of the go-to fixers for acne. You will find this as an active ingredient on the majority of products that are used in the acne wash or spot treatment. Salicylic acid is a hydroxy acid that helps by working in dissolving excess oil and gently exfoliating dead skin cells. It has anti-inflammatory properties which help you with inflamed cystic breakouts. It can also dry out your skin if over-applied. You should choose the product wisely for daily use.

  • Glycolic Acid

It is an alpha hydroxy acid that generally exfoliates your skin and helps you to get rid of the dead skin cells which clog the pores. You can find this acid in face wash, peels, moisturizer and serums.

  • Benzoyl peroxide

It is an antibacterial ingredient that is very effective in killing the bacteria which causes breakouts in the acne. It has side effects too. It can dry your skin and can bleach it if you’re not careful. Products which have high concentrations of benzoyl peroxide are only harsh on your skin and not at all effective in killing bacteria.

  • Lactic Acid

It is an alpha hydroxy acid which means it works the same as the glycolic acid and exfoliates your skin. It is a good option for those who have sensitive skin as it will not be harsh on your skin. It is a humectant which means it is hydrating in nature. For people who have dry or sensitive skin, they can use exfoliants that have lactic acid as an ingredient in the products.

  • Sulfur

It does smell like a rotten egg but its effectiveness in treating acne is very good. It dries up the acne by sucking up the oil. It is used as an ingredient to get the most efficiency and with some fragrance to cover the strong scent. It is normally used as spot treatment or masks.

  • Bakuchiol

Bakuchiol is a best acne treatment an alternative for retinal and it is a plant-based extract. There are very limited studies on Bakuchiol but it does promise in managing your skin texture and fine lines. It does not show any side effects. It can be mixed with Retinol to increase its efficacy to fight acne treatment and work as an anti-ageing effect without increasing the risk of side effects.
